Sugared Violette

Well it has been awhile. Life has been moving at light speed, but fortunately I have still been finding time to knit and crochet. February 13th was my mama’s birthday and I completed her gift a week ahead of schedule! (if you know me then you know that I am usually the queen of last minute). I think she liked it…she doesn’t typically sport shawls or scarfs but her favorite color is purple and she does appreciate handmade art.

The pattern is called sugared violets, details can be found here. The pattern was lovely to knit and it worked up really quickly. The yarn and pattern combination created a light shawl/scarf that works year round I think…of course the color reminds me of spring. I think it will work well when there is a little chill in the air on spring mornings.
