Finally I have finished sweet Lyvi’s blanket, and she has arrived! Actually it was delivered to her a few weeks ago and her mama says that she is enjoying it immensely. I am really happy with how it turned out and with the yarn I chose.
The yarn is cool wool by Elizabeth Lavoid, details are on my Ravelry page.
The part I think I ended up being most excited about was the border. I used Lucy’s pattern from Attic 24 candle trim. I love the way it turned out. It is colorful, flowery, whimsical, and warm…everything that reminds me of Lyvi’s mama who has been one of my best friends for over 20 years. She is an amazing woman and Lyvi is one lucky baby.
I can finally post this finished project that was a Christmas gift for my little sister. The pattern is Queen Anne’s Lace Scarf. I LOVE this pattern. It was fun, fast, and fabulous:) Seriously, instant gratification. The yarn is mochi plus rainbow.
I added a funky little button at one end so that she could double it and wear it as a neck warmer (like I am wearing it), or she can wear it as a single and button it in any of the holes created by the lace. I am really happy I added the button. I think it makes it a little more versatile. Doubled it is cozy and warm and as a single it functions more as a fun accessory.
Anyway, she says that she loves it and has been wearing it often so yay, mission accomplished:)
