Last Friday I joined many many other knitters in the mystery shawl KAL by Stephen West. The pattern is called Rockefeller, and last Friday was the release of clue number one. This is the first time I have participated in a knit along and a mystery pattern, and I am loving it! I have really enjoyed reading the message boards and looking at everyone’s color choices. I agonized over color choices (since I do not actually know what the shawl will look like when finished), and I’m still not convinced I have chosen correctly. It is really difficult to photograph the malabrigo yarn I have chosen because it changes with the light, it is called Turner. Originally it looked more green, but in most of the pictures I have taken it looks more yellow. Very dramatic looking, we will see how it all comes together. This is my project so far at the end of clue one, next clue comes out Friday!
